DONALD J. PEARL, 84, of

Farmington Hills, died Sept. 12, 2006.
He was a general insurance agent with
Prudential for over 30 years as well as an
artist who worked with oil on canvas.
Mr. Pearl is survived by his wife,
Lois Landau Pearl; sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Ivlarc and Gwen Pearl of
Washington, D.C., Jeffrey and Erica
Pearl of Washington, Todd and Lisa
Pearl of ClawSon, Larry Landau and
Debbie Wallis of West Bloomfield, Mark
and Debbie Landau, Danny Landau;
grandchildren, Aaron, David, Rachel and
Elle Pearl, Amanda and Chelsea Foster,
David, Andrew and Ryan Landau; nieces,
nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews,
other family and friends.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to a char-
ity of one's choice. Arrangements by Ira
Kaufman Chapel.

IRVING ROSENGARD, 90, of

Bloomfield Hills, died Sept. 11, 2006.
Born in Detroit, he attended Northern

High School and Wayne State University.
During World War II, he served in the
Pacific Theater for four years, 1941-1945.
On his return to civilian life, he began a
career in the steel business.
Among his many interests were music,
table tennis and golf. He had a baritone
voice and sang in recitals and concerts
for many organizations in the Detroit
area.
Mr. Rosengard is survived by his wife
of 66 years, Sophie Rosengard; daughters
and son-in-law, Judy and Peter Gray of
Chelsea, Beth Rosengard of Los Angeles;
grandson, Jeffrey Gray.

MARGARETTE SATOVSKY, 88, of

West Bloomfield, died Sept. 12, 2006. She
was a member of Congregation Shaarey
Zedek and its sisterhood, the National
Council of Jewish Women, Hadassah and
Women's American ORT.
Mrs. Satovsky is survived by her

husband of 66 years,
Lester Satovsky; son
and daughter-in-
law, Neil and Joni
Satovsky of West
Bloomfield; daughter
and son-in-law, Lynn
and Harvey Rubin
Satovsky
of West Bloomfield;
Grandchildren, Brian
Satovsky, Nicole and Stone Melet,
Jennifer and Scott Radis, Larry and
Jennifer Thurswell, Rebecca and Michael
Schostak, Adam Rubin; great-grandchil-
dren, Harrison, Phoebe and Rube Radis
and Luke Thurswell. She was the loving
sister of the late Milton Slatkin, the late
Adolph Slatkin, the late Esther Snyder,
the late Joseph Slatkin; dear sister-in-law
of the late Abraham Satovsky and the
late Naomi Eder.
Interment at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the
Margarette and Lester Satovsky Athletic
Fund at the Jewish Community Center.

RAHIL SHMIDT, 85, of Southfield,
died Sept. 10, 2006.
She is survived by her son, Michael
Shmidt of Los Angeles, Calif.; daugh-
ter, Ina Sushin of West Bloomfield;
sister and brother-in-law, Zelda and
Lazar Selector; grandchildren, Michele
Sushin, Ilya Shmidt, Irina Shmidt;
nieces and nephews. She was the
beloved wife of the late Isaak Shmidt.

BERNARD SCHMIDT, 94 of Coral
Springs, Fla., died Sept. 13, 2006. He
was a dentist in Detroit for 45 years
and served as [resident of his alumni
chapter of Alpha Omega. He was a cap-
tain in the United States Army. While
living in Detroit, he was a member of
B'nai B'rith and Temple Israel.
Dr. Schmidt is survived by his chil-
dren, Dr. James and Sharon Schmidt,
Robert and My Le Schmidt, Gaye
Tillman; grandchildren, Julie, David,
Brent, Jeffrey and Ronald; great-
grandchildren, Alexander, Stefanie,
Jonah, Max, Tristan; sister Charlotte
(Shefman) Wetsman. He was husband
of the late Sylvia Schmidt; brother
of the late Saul Schmidt and the late
Joseph Schmidt; father-in-law of the
late Mitchell Tillman.
Interment in Florida. Contributions

IDA ZUROFF, 91, of West
Bloomfield, died Sept. 17, 2006.
She is survived by her son, Dr.
Arnold Zuroff of Southfield; daughter,
Sheron Docks of Oak Park; numerous
grandchildren and great-grandchil-
dren. She was the beloved wife of the
late Sam Zuroff; loving mother-in-law
of the late Joanne Zuroff.
