An advocate for social justice and a psychiatric social worker dedi- cated to the growth and well being of her clients, she was also a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She worked in the field of early childhood education for the first part of her career, teaching nursery school and parenting classes and researching issues regarding social class and methods of educa- tion. Mrs. Loria is survived by her daughter, Mari Loria of Berkeley, Calif.; grandchildren, Sascha Atkins- Loria and Jordan Atkins-Loria; spe- cial nephew, Howard Israel. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Loria; mother of the late Joshua Loria; sister of the late Muriel Israel. He was a fam- ily practice osteopathic physician in California. He graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific.
