A Memory Window

KIPPUR

On Aug. 28, Pine Lake Elementary School in Bloomfield Hills dedicated a
stained glass window in memory of Martha Jo Fleischmann, a contribu-
tor of Yiddish limericks to the Jewish News. The window was unveiled
by Tony Kruzman, principal, and Flo and Steve Atto, who created the
window. Mrs. Atto is a Bloomfield Hills secretary who has been creating
stained glass art for 27 years. The window honors Mrs. Fleischmann's
advocacy for the Accelerated Reader program at Pine Lake, where she
was an active PTO volunteer. Shown are Leah Snider, Mrs. Fleischmann's
mother, of West Bloomfield; her children, Michael, Naomi, Jonathan; her
husband, Yosef; Flo Atto; a son, Manuel Fleischmann; Charles Snider, Mrs.
Fleischmann's father; and Steve Atto.
