On Thursday, Sept. 21, 7-9 p.m., the group will explore Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot with Rabbi Jennifer Tisdale. Participants will learn to start holiday traditions in their home. Gan Goes Bilingual The Oak Park-based Beth Shalom Gan Shalom Preschool will introduce a bilingual Hebrew-English program for children ages 24 months to 4. Institute Services The Sholem Aleichem Institute, a non- political; secular Jewish organization, will hold High Holiday services at Orchard Lake Middle School in West Bloomfield. Rosh Hashanah services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23. Kol Nidre will be 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, with Yom Kippur services 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2. Machzorim, developed by members, include readings, poetry and songs in English, Yiddish and Hebrew. A choral group will perform. At Kol Nidre, a symphonic trio will play. On Friday evening, follow- ing dinner, Rabbi Wolfe will discuss "Men, Women and Kabbalah," focusing on intimacy, commitment and rela- tionships. At noon Saturday, the rabbi will lead "When the Soul Tricks the Mind," mystical songs and spiritual tales. Sunday's program will cover "The Kabbalah of Leadership," a seminar to provide specific tools for compassion- ate assertiveness through the insights of Kabbalah. Yad B'Yad provides friendly visitors for local Holocaust survivors.
