work on the Schwartz home.
Allan and Sharon Sefton of Beverly
Hills, also customers of the Sterns,
couldn't find a suitable new house or
a lot to build on, so they stayed and
remodeled.
"We remodeled the kitchen and
added an island there to give me space
for cooking for the Jewish holidays:'
said Sharon. "We also remodeled three
bathrooms and did some little things
to make sure everything is okay for
our two children, who are home from
school over the summer.
"We've lived here for 35 years and
just didn't want to move added
Sharon, who operates a UPS store in
West Bloomfield. Her husband is an
insurance agent.
The Sterns did the $100,000
remodeling project for the Seftons
over five months, and "they were very
easy to work with:' said Sharon. Bob
Stern said 90 percent of the firm's
business comes from referrals.
Scott Gittleman, who started
Gittleman Construction in
Farmington Hills 29 years ago, says
the spurt in remodeling and reno-
vation work in the past year "has
kept our business whole." He added,

Jody and Shelly Mendelson of
