The workshop will provide par- ticipants with tips for collaborating with teachers and bonding with students as well as offer effective tools and strategies for working with children in kindergarten through third grade. Participants will receive a bag of flashcards and other helpful materials and supplies to use in the classroom. Carpools to the Whitmer Center will be available from the Max M. It will be known as the David L. Bittker B'nai B'rith Youth Organization Conference Center. The 5,700-square-foot, $1.25- million facility is named in-memo- ry of the a longtime member of the Michigan BBYO Commission and its exec_utive committee. The dedication at the new cen- ter will include representatives of BBYO and Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, which assisted in the land acquisition and fundraising for the facility.
