More than 100 children ages 5 and younger
attended the recent Storytime in the Garden
event at Temple Israel. Storyteller Laura
Pershin Raynor brought to life a cast of char-
acters through tales of tricksters, secret mes-
sages and recipes gone wrong. Colorful hand-
made limberjack toys enhanced the program,
adding music and humor. The children then
created art projects based on the stories.
The event, organized by Rachel Kamin, was
sponsored by the Hodari Family Children's
Library with support from the Newman Fund for Library Programs and Resources.
