RICHMAN FUND ESTABLISHED! GOLF CLASSIC A HUGE SUCCESS

Kadima welcomes Ronit Goutkovich as its part-time Jewish educator for

the new Mel Richman Jewish Education Fund. Mel Richman was a founder

and long time board member of Kadima. An endowment at the Community

Foundation for Southeastern Michigan has been established in his memory

to provide a continuing Jewish educational component for Kadima clients.

Good friend, Lionel Margolick, and the Richman family including wife

Sophie,. children Jay Richman and Gail Stewart Berman, and Mel's grand-

children have endowed this worthwhile fund.

Mel's wife Sophie remembers, "Judaism and Kadima were both so much

a part of Mel's life. He always loved to talk about how he gathered furni-

ture for the first Kadima apartments. He never lost his enthusiasm for help-

ing Kadima. He would be so proud to know that this fund was established

in his memory."

"Mel was like a father to me since I came to Detroit," said Lionel

Margolick. "He was an ardent student of Judaism and Jewish history. It is a

great pleasure to remember him in a way that would please him."

His daughter, Gail Stewart Berman said, "For myself and my children,

The Fifth Annual Golf Classic was a huge success in many ways. The participants

had an ideal day of fun and food. Through this event, the Lois and Milton Y. Zussman

Activity Center greatly benefited by the funds raised. Kudos to the golf committee co-

chaired by Richard Ludwig and Bruce Gursky. All agreed, it was a perfect day.
