ARTHUR EPSTEIN, 76, of
Boynton Beach, Fla., formerly of
Oak Park, died July 11, 2006. He
was a longtime member of Temple
Israel. Before leaving Detroit, He
was merchandise manager for
Winkelmans. He left to earn a mas-
ter of social work degree and was
then employed by Family Services
of Detroit and Wayne County.
Mr. Epstein is survived by his
loving wife, Lucille; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Howard and Gay Epstein
of Chicago; daughters and son-in-
law, Karen Townsend of Delaware,
Barbara and Rabbi Tom Heyn of
Cincinnati; grandchildren, Elly,
Jonah, Jeffrey, Richard, Kalman,
Michael and Bennett; brother and
sister-in-law, Ralph and Annette
Epstein of Southfield.
Contributions may be made to
the American Lung Association,
Temple Shaarei Shalom, 9085
Hagen Ranch Rd., Boynton Beach,
FL 33437 or to the Hospice of Palm
Beach County.

MAYNARD M. FELDMAN, 94,
of Southfield, died July 19, 2006. A
window trimmer and owner
of Apparel Display Services, he
received many national and local
awards for his displays. He was
the founder of Michigan Freelance
Display Guild. From age 8 till 14,
Mr. Feldman was a carriage driver
at Mackinaw. A military policeman
during World War II, he became a
member of the Jewish War Veterans
and the American Federation of
Jewish War Veterans. Mr. Feldman
was a member of the Wage and
Salary Commission in Southfield,
the Oakland County Republican
Lincoln Club and ran for Oakland
County Commissioner.
He is survived by his son
and daughter-in-law, Barry and
Barbara Feldman of Bloomfield
Hills; daughters and son-in-law,
Sheryl Feldman of Marquette,
Susan and Robert Rollinger of
West Bloomfield; grandchildren,
Samantha Beth Rollinger, Ean
Feldman and Beth Feldman; adored
companion, Gertrude Stearn. He
was the beloved husband of the late
Betty Feldman; devoted brother
of the late Jane Kleinrock, the late
Annabelle Caplan and the late
Minna Schwartz.
