The annual meeting of Temple
Beth El marked the installation of
Lawrence J. Epstein as the temple's
65th president.
Other officers installed were:
vice presidents James Deutchman,
Mark Canvasser, David Handleman
and L. Steven Weiner; treasurer,
Herschel Fink; secretary, Miriam
Cohen. Installed as trustees were
Jody Boorstein, Stefany Freeman,
John Kessler, Rick Loewenstein,
Dr. John Marx, Stuart Novick, Lisa
Rotter and Barbara.Shaya. Serving
on the 2007 Nominating Committee
will be Dennis Frank, chair; Alan
Ackerman, Phyllis Loewenstein and
Patti Phillips.

recipients of the
President's Cup.
Rabbis Daniel
Syme and David
Castiglione pre-
Lawrence Epstein
sented a new
award, the Rabbi's Cup, to temple
member Ellin Lawson. Together with
her late husband, Harold Lawson,
she founded the Rabbi Richard C.
Hertz Institute. Later, they founded
the Harold and Ellin Lawson Youth
Institute
