up with the concept of getting the
Scouts out on the road to get the
word out about Israel," Roisman
said of her late father, Morton
Coles. "At first, it was 10 kids and
an accordion going up the East
Coast. So this is very dear to my
heart."
Fred Seidman of Farmington
Hills was disappointed by the small
crowd at Rothstein Park. "I'm sur-
prised there wasn't a bigger turn-
out," he said. "This is another way
to show support for Israel."

for Cincinnati last weekend, Yossi
Benjamin of Yossi's Israeli Cuisine
in West Bloomfield treated them to
lunch.

17 and have another year of high
school before joining the Israel
Defense Forces, their two leaders,
Yonatan Bar-Oryan, of Tel Aviv,
and Shiri Hai of Rison Le-Zion, are
23 and have a keen sense of being
away from home and service.
"It's hard and weird:' said Bar-
Oryan, who is in the IDF reserves.
"It's hard when you're away from
home. I'm on the Internet three
times a day checking the news.
Israel is always on our minds. And
we talk about how much we should
mention about the war in our
shows.
"But we do show that in Israel
life goes on, and if we keep our
spirit, nothing can stop us or affect
us. It's difficult, but what we're
doing is as important as at home.
It's good to go to rallies and perfor-
mances and see the support." LI
