A

kitchen renovation, considered one of the toughest
to live through, was remarkably easy for Jody and
Shelly Mendelson when they contracted Gittleman
Construction Company to redo the heart of their home.
It really was no big deal," said Shelly, and I think that
was because there wasn't a time that I came into the
kitchen that things weren't moving along." A neat work
site, cleaned up daily, also eased the updating process.
The kitchen and accompanying powder room redo was
the couple's first major project in the four bedroom
Colonial they moved into 12 years ago. Only two
years old when they bought it, the house aged well but
recently "we had to make a decision — move or redo."
Happy with the neighborhood and their location, the
couple decided — call Gittleman.
'We had Scott come in and show us what we could do," recalls Shelly. That included replacing dated
laminate countertops and cabinetry with cherrywood and granite and putting color, granite and new
cabinetry into the powder room.
"I loved working with their designer," said Shelley. "She really helped me a lot, but she let me make
all my own decisions so I got what I really wanted."
Now the Mendelson's and their three daughters Mellissa, Arielle and Erica take a break from their
busy schedules to share cooking duties in the state-of-the-art kitchen... and perhaps ponder future
renovations.
"There's more I would like to do," said Shelly. When she's ready, she'll definitely call Gittleman.
So next time the prospect of an unsettling renovation puts a halt to your dream project, set your
worries aside and rely on Gittleman to get you through.
JUST ASK THE MENDELSON'S.
