Jewish Family Service is a pri-

vate, non-profit social service
agency with offices in Southfield
and West Bloomfield which
has provided social and mental
health services to members of
the Jewish and general com-
munity for 75 years. Included
within these services are the
reception, resettlement and inte-
gration of new Americans into
the community.
JFS programs and services
address the changing needs of
individuals and the changing
nature of the family and the
community. Our staff deals with
a range of issues from changing
family dynamics to addiction
recovery to the provision of
emergency shelter and sup-
port to indigent and homeless
people. We serve more than
12,000 clients annually. In addi-
tion to our professional staff of
master's level social workers and
case managers, JFS utilizes the
expertise of some 500 active vol-
unteers whose combined efforts
total some 12,000 hours of ser-
vice each year.
