Berris-Koenig

elene and Earl Koenig of Bloomfield Hills and Ronald and Maggie
Berris of Franklin announce the engagement of their children Karen
Andrea and Joshua Robert. Joshua is also the son of the late Deborah

Berris.
Karen is a graduate of University of Michigan and Wayne State University
School of Medicine in Detroit. She completed an internal medicine residency at
William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and is in her second year of fellowship
in endocrinology at WSU.
Joshua is a graduate of Michigan State University and Michigan State
University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in
anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic and will practice at Botsford General
Hospital in Farmington Hills.
An August wedding is planned:

Borlack-Bell

tephen and Joyce Bell of Muncie, N.J., are delighted to announce the
engagement of their daughter Hilary Ann to Scott Matthew Borlack, son
of Carole Borlack of West Bloomfield and the late Saul Borlack.
Hilary graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., with a bach-
elor of science degree in theater. She is employed as the concierge at the Regents
Park of Troy apartment community.
Scott graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree
in telecommunication. He is employed as a sales representative for Wallside
Windows.
An October wedding is planned.

Spivack 70th

Kay-Benyas

r. and Mrs. Jack Kay of Framingham, Mass., announce the engage-
ment of their daughter Lara Elizabeth Kay to Steven Isaac Benyas,
son of Mr. and Mrs. David Benyas, former Detroiters of Raleigh,

ophie and Gershon Spivack of Oak Park recently celebrated their 70th
wedding anniversary at a luncheon party with relatives, friends and
LP neighbors at Papa Vino's restaurant in Troy, hosted by Karen and Walter
Halpern. The Spivacks' children are Linda and Poul Sandersen of Whitefish Bay,
Wis.; Karen and Walter Halpern of Bloomfield Hills; Jordan Spivack of Nanuet,
N.Y. They have seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The bride is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta and employed with
Children's Hospital in Boston, Mass.
The groom is a graduate of University of North Carolina Medical School and
is in his last year of residency at Children's Hospital in Boston.
A March 2007 wedding is planned in Boston.
