Mrs. Jackson
was a member
Jackson
for 50 years of the
Detroit Federation of Musicians. She
played in orchestras for Frank Sinatra,
Spike Jones, Sonja Henie on Ice and
many other ice shows. In addition, she
played for many traveling Broadway
shows. She also performed at wed-
dings and private parties.
Her affiliations -included the Music
Study Club of Metropolitan Detroit,
where she had served as president,
and the Tuesday Musical, of which she
was a board member. In later years,
she worked for the Jewish National
Fund. She was also a member of
Hadassah.
Her leisure time was devoted to
golf, and she and her husband were
founding members of Tam O'Shanter
Country Club in West Bloomfield. She
was an avid gardener, enjoyed travel-
ing and was a season ticket holder
for the DSO Classical, Jazz and Pops
Series as well as for the Detroit Opera
series.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her
daughter and son-in-law, Paula and
Bill Tucker of Huntington Woods;
son and daughter-in-law, David
and Shauna Jackson of California;
grandchildren, Michael and Theresa
McKinney, Drew, Brandon and Riley
Jackson; great-grandchildren, Cary
and Jacob McKinney; brother and
sister-in-law, Harry and Dorothy
Goldberg; sister-in-law and brother-
in-law, Mae and Irwin Weiler; three
nieces and four nephews. She was
the beloved wife of the late Sidney H.
Jackson.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to a char-
ity of one's choice. Arrangements by
Ira Kaufman Chapel.
DR. HAROLD
JAFFE, 82, of
Bloomfield Hills, died June 15, 2006.
He was a medical doctor, special-
izing in plastic surgery and sur-
gery of the hand, who practiced
at Harper Hospital, Sinai Hospital,
Troy Beaumont and Mount Carmel
Hospital.
Dr. Jaffe is survived by his daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Ellen and David
Sherman of Bloomfield Hills; grand-
children, Joshua and Lilli Sherman;
sister-in-law, Judy Koploy and David's
children, Jessica, Andrew and Dakota
Sherman. He was the beloved husband
of the late Janet Jaffe; devoted father
of the late Bruce Jaffe; loving brother
of the late Louis Jaffe; dear brother-in-
law of the late Lester Koploy.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
to Jewish Hospice and Chaplaincy
Network or to Hebrew Free Loan.
Arrangements by Ira Kaufman Chapel.

BRENDA RUBIN
KRUGER, 58, of Las Vegas, formerly
of Detroit, died June 15, 2006. She had
a passion for art and homemaking.
Mrs. Kruger is survived by her
husband, David Kruger; children,
Jill Rubin of West Bloomfield, Kevin
Rubin; stepchildren, Anne Goldman
of Farmington Hills, Miriam Kruger
of Royal Oak, Joel and Shana Kruger;
sister and brother-in-law, Janice
and Dr. Mitchel Smargon of West
Bloomfield; brother and sister-in-law,
Jeffery Arland and Kay Weisberg of
West Bloomfield; grandchildren, Alec
Rubin, Molly Goldman, Ozzie Kruger,
Uri Kruger. She was the loving sister of
the late Bryan Weisberg.
