Regional AZA and BBG presidents

Youth Leaders Named

B'nai B'rith Youth Organization
installed regional officers on June
7 at Congregation B'nai Moshe in
West Bloomfield.
Geoffrey Horowitz of Shapiro
AZA and Dana O'Neill of Achayot
BBG were installed as presidents
of Michigan Region AZA and BBG.
Horowitz will be a senior at the
Jewish Academy of Metropolitan
Detroit. He has served as president
of his AZA chapter and as regional
AZA secretary.
O'Neill will be a senior at West
Bloomfield High School. She previ-
ously served as BBG chapter presi-
dent and vice president/member-
ship for the regional BBG Council.
Jason Dovitz of Shapiro AZA and
Stephanie Horwitz of Emunah BBG
were selected rookies of the year
— the outstanding freshmen AZA
and BBG members. Dovitz will be
a sophomore at JAMD and served
this year as secretary of his chapter.
Horwitz will be a sophomore at
JAMD and served as her BBG chap-
ter president.
The other AZA officers who
were installed include Brad
Millman, West Bloomfield, vice
president/programming; Michael
Taub, Farmington Hills, vice presi-
dent/membership; Danny Bittker,
Franklin, vice president/Jewish heri-
tage and community service, and
West Bloomfield residents Daniel
Kohn, treasurer, Brandon Lebowitz,
secretary, and Max Aidenbaum,
newspaper/yearbook editor.
Newly installed BBG officers
include West Bloomfield residents:
Nikki Horn, vice president/pro-
gramming; Lindsey Schwartz, vice
president/membership; Brittany
Karson, vice president/Jewish
heritage and community service;
Stephanie Horwitz, secretary; and
Farmington Hills residents Leah
Stilman, treasurer; Michele Balaj,
newspaper/yearbook editor.
Outgoing AZA and BBG presi-
dents Jeffrey Colvin and Jennie
Beitner, both of West Bloomfield,
will serve as regional council advis-
ers.
