Lee Bienstock: to be hired?

Orthodox
Apprentice?

Trump's choice awaits.

W

ill Donald Trump's
new apprentice be

an Orthodox Jew?
America will find out 9:30-11 p.m.
Monday, June 5, when NBC airs the
live finale of this season's reality
show The Apprentice.
Lee Bienstock, 23, would easily
be the youngest apprentice hired by
Trump if he wins, but he'll likely be
best known for his religious obser-
vance during the course of the 16-
week show.
Bienstock began the season
with another Orthodox Jew in tow
— New Jersey's Dan Brody. The two
observed Rosh Hashanah together
early in the season -- missing the
third episode's task — but only
Bienstock stayed in the show long
enough to observe Yom Kippur,
missing another task.
While some of Bienstock's team-
mates wanted his religious obser-
vance to get him fired from the
show, Trump refused.
Family and friends are urg-
ing fans to vote for Bienstock on
the Internet in NBC's poll, which
Trump has indicated he'll take into
account in his decision during the
finale. They've set up a Web site
for the task, www.voteforlee.com ,
or go directly to www.nbc.com/
apprentice, where visitors can vote,
provide questions for Trump to ask
the finalists and be entered to win
$30,000 in a random drawing.
Whether or not Bienstock wins
Monday night, he has already been
approached with numerous speak-
ing opportunities from various
commercial outlets and Jewish
communal organizations. ❑
