War Dead Remembered

The Department of Michigan Jewish War Veterans of the
USA and Ladies Auxiliary will be joined by the Canadian and
Russian Jewish War Veterans,for an international Memorial
Day service at Machpelah Cemetery at 10 a.m. Sunday, May
28.
A second service will be held at Hebrew Memorial Park
Cemetery, 21503 E. 14 Mile at Gratiot in Clinton Township,
12:30 p.m.
Rabbi Herbert Yoskowitz of Adat Shalom Synagogue is scheduled to officiate at Machpelah. Taps will be sounded by
students from Ferndale High School. The events, directed by State Commander Julius Schlussel and Auxiliary President
Myra Gross, will be chaired by Senior Vice Commander DE Marvin Deliclow.
The Canadian contingent will be headed by President Izzy Sigal and the Russian Veterans by Anagoly Granovesky. All
