Just Announced...
Lease Pull Ahead is BACK"`!

rable place for many NCJW mem-
bers who had, at one time, been
students at the same school.

Many women today find
it difficult to manage
their children, a home, a
career. Should they still
make time to volunteer?

"I would never encourage some-
one to leave her children or her
husband to volunteer because your
children are with you for so short
a time.
"What I would suggest is to
volunteer maybe once every six
months, just to keep your feet wet.
But if you're not there to raise your
family and enjoy your family, what's
life? The days go by so fast, you
have to enjoy every single one with
your children. When they're gone,
that's when you start really volun-
teering."

One volunteer
project with which
you're involved, but
which few people may
be familiar with, is
Wrapped in Love.

"Wrapped in Love is a new NCJW
project. We make blankets of polar
fleece, which are given to children
when they're put in foster care.
"If they're lucky, they come [to
foster care] with a plastic bag
filled with a few things from home.
Sometimes they come with noth-
ing. The blankets we make are cud-
dly and warm and they feel good.
"We meet every Monday after-
noon; it's a drop-in project. Women
meet, talk, have a cup of coffee,
work on blankets for an hour or
two and then they leave.
"Recently, children have started
doing these as mitzvah projects,
and one of my neighbors did it
as part of a birthday party. It was
so nice that they did something
worthwhile?'

You've been very
involved with the DIA,
so clearly you love art.
Who are your favorites?
