Celebrate Mother's Day Carly Rachel Rosen was called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah Saturday, - May 6, at Temple Israel. She is the daughter of Anne and Mark Rosen and the sister of Jenna. Also sharing in the simchah were proud grandparents Melanie and Marty Carly Rosen Weiss and Iris and Leo Rosen. Carly is a student at West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. She felt her most meaningful mitz- vah project was volunteering for the American Diabetes Association. Melanie Robin Rosen celebrated her bat mitzvah Saturday, May 6, at Congregation Beth Shalom. She is the daughter of Michele and Michael Rosen and sister of Marcia and Mark. Proud grandparents are Sylvia and Jerry Rosen of Southfield. She is also the grand- daughter of the late Carole Lynn (Cooperman) Jonas and the late J. Walter Jonas. Melanie is a student at Norup Middle School in Oak Park. She partic- ipated in many mitzvah projects, but her favorite one was walking in honor of a family friend for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Jenna Eve Rothstein, daughter of Diana and Charlie Rothstein, will cel- ebrate her bat mitzvah as she reads from the Torah at Temple Israel Saturday, May 13. She is the sister of Amy, Peter and Kevin. Her proud grandparents are Esther and Milton Lisner and Joyce and Ron Rothstein. Attending Orchard Lake Middle School Rothstein in West Bloomfield, Jenna worked as a volunteer at the Jewish Community Center and felt this was a meaningful mitzvah project. Mark David Siegel will celebrate his bar mitzvah as he reads from the Torah during Havdalah services at Temple Israel, Saturday, May 13. He is the son of Judy and Kent Siegel and the brother of Siegel Tami, Gregg, Terri and Todd. His grandparents Jacquie and Carl Siegel and Herbert Liner will share in the simchah. He is also the grandchild of the late Rosalyn Liner. Mark attends Abbott Middle School in West Bloomfield. He felt his most meaningful project was helping pack food for the needy at Detroit-based Gleaners Food Bank. Joshua David Stone will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah Saturday, May 13, at Temple Kol Ami. His excited and proud parents are Wendy and Nate Stone. Also sharing in this simchah will be his brother and sister, Zachary and Rachel; his grand- parents Judy Hocher, Sandy Eichenhorn, Elaine and Harold Wagenberg, and Sue and Jack Stone; and his great grandmother Priscilla Dickman. Josh is also the grandson of the late Patricia Eichenhorn and the late Robert Hocher. Josh is a student at Warner Middle School in Farmington Hills.
