Decisions, Decisions
Jewish volunteers from Jewish Apartments & Services, Jewish Family
Service and the Area Agency on Aging 1-B on April 10 assisted seniors try-
ing to make sense of the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan at the Huntington
Woods Library. Eight Jewish volunteers trained and certified as Medicare
Plan counselors assisted about 50 seniors from Oak Park, Berkley, Madison
Heights, Huntington Woods, Southfield and elsewhere around southeast
Michigan. Seniors spent about an hour each looking at options and picking a
plan that will serve them best. In the picture, Fran Cook of the Jewish Family
Service assists a senior. Seniors must sign up by May 15.
