Yom HaAtzmaut celebration.

The music of Shlock Rock got more than 500 people moving at the annual Israel
Independence Day concert at Yeshivat Akiva in Southfield on May 3. Kids were
dancing and waving plastic Israeli flags in time to the music.
Prior to the concert, many attended a family dinner at the school that featured
children's activities, including face painting. Evidence of this booth's popularity
was everywhere as children sported colorful images as well as Hebrew words on
their faces.
Shlock Rock, fronted by leader Lenny Solomon, set the tone with its rock
music featuring lyrics that promote Jewish pride, identity and awareness.
