the granddaughter of the late Philip

Talia is a seventh-grader at Norup
Middle School in Oak Park. Her
favorite mitzvah project is playing
piano for residents of Federation
Apartments.

Anthony Ian Hoberman, son
of Sharlee and Mel Roberman,
will observe his bar mitzvah at
Havdalah services
Saturday, May 6,
at Temple Israel.
He is the brother
of Lane and Rejan,
Shawn and Jeffrey.
Sharing in the
simchah will be
Hoberman
his grandmother
Geraldine Sakwa. He is also the
grandchild of the late Dr. Saul Sakwa
and the late Gertrude Hoberman.
Anthony attends Eton Academy in
Birmingham. Making a donation to
Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind
was the mitzvah project he felt was
especially significant.

Aaron Max Hovey will read from
the Torah as he celebrates his bar
mitzvah Saturday, May 6, at Temple
Kol Anil. He is the son of Miriam
and Michael Hovey and older brother
of Rachel. Sharing in the simchah
will be proud
grandparents Elsa
and Dr. Abraham
Gotman of ffal
Harbour, Fla., and
John Hovey of
Farmington Hills.
He is also the
grandchild
of the
Hovey
late Gloria Hovey.
Aaron is a student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. One of his most
meaningful mitzvah projects to date
is volunteering at World Medical
Relief in downtown Detroit, and he
plans to continue this work.
