Parenting Workshop
The Temple Israel Robert Sosnick
Family Life Center will host a new
Sunday morning parenting work-
shop, "Starbucks and Strategies for
Parenting," Sunday, May 7, from 10:15-
11:45 a.m. at.Temple Israel in West
Bloomfield.
Nancy Serlin and Gerald Kaplan will
share strategies. Serlin is a parenting
specialist who does private counseling
work with parents needing help and .
guidance with gifted children. Kaplan
has spent the past 32 years counseling
children, assisting parents, offering
professional seminars and practicing
privately.
"Starbucks and Strategies for
Parenting" is a free workshop.

Generations Share Fun
In "A Celebration of the Generations,"
Federation's Shalom Baby invites
moms and grandmoms with babes
in arms to spend a morning together
Sunday, May 7, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
at the Max M. Fisher Federation
Building, 6735 Telegraph Road,
Bloomfield Township.
The gathering will include a light
kosher brunch, a special arts and
crafts project and live entertainment
featuring Helayne Shaw. Pierce Street
Portraits will be available to take fam-
ily portraits.
The cost is $5 per adult for brunch
only; portraits are an additional fee.
Infants and toddlers up to 3-years-
old are invited to the program free of
