have converted to Judaism, people
who are in the process of conver-
sion, those who are involved in
interfaith relationships and those
who are simply born Jews seeking
to learn more about their religion.
The group will present a dis-
cussion on anti-Semitism with
Rabbi Joshua Bennett at 7-9 p.m.
Thursday, April 27. The discussion
will explore Jewish responses to
anti-Semitism, historical perspec-
tives and more.

the community. For location and to
RSVP, call Carol, (248) 851-5545.
Student Awareness
During fall 2005, 10 ethnically
and racially diverse high school
students from throughout Metro
Detroit traveled to Washington
to learn about the Holocaust and
apply those lessons to modern-day
issues of bigotry and intolerance in
America.
The ADL Grosfeld Family
National Youth Leadership mission
to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial
Museum uses historic and contem-
pOrary examples of moral courage
to help motivate students to fight
prejudice within their own lives
and in their schools and communi-
ties.
After returning from the mission,
these students felt compelled to
raise the community's awareness
of genocides that are occurring
around the world. Specifically
focused on the situation in Darfur,
the students created T-shirts that
signify the urgency to educate
and motivate their peers. The T-
shirts read "Save Darfur — Dare
To Interfere" and are sold at local
boutiques.
