The truth of the matter is that
obese children are more likely to
grow into obese adults and
i
r suffer from a host of ail-
ments, including heart dis-
ease, diabetes, and certain
forms of cancer. Studies
have fairly consistently
) shown that the risk for
) adult obesity is at least
twice as high for obese
children as for non-
obese children.

/ Although certainly wel-
come if done appropriately,
government and school
intervention is not enough – ef-
fective nutritional behaviors and
healthy lifestyles begin at home. •
For parents and children who may
need professional assistance, I have
implemented the Healthy 'N Fit
nutritional counseling program,
specifically designed to take a
direct, comprehensive and very
effective hands - on approach to the
problem of childhood/teen obesity.
