She was a volunteer for emotionally disturbed chil- dren and received numerous awards for her volunteer work. She also achieved a silver life masters in bridge. Arrangements by Ira Kaufman. Chapel. LOUIS SCHWARTZ, 94, of Boca Raton, Fla., died March 31, 2006. - A native of New York, he lived in Detroit before moving to Holly in 1934. He lived in Detroit again in the mid-1970s before moving to Grand Blanc in 1979. Mr. Schwartz was a 32nd-degree and life member of the Holly Lodge of the Masons and a member of the Odd Fellows, Shriners, Kiwanis and B'nai B'rith. Educated as an accountant, he went into the scrap metal business in 1934 and later ventured into real estate, sporting goods, fire protection and plastics manufacturing. He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel in Flint. He always felt the most important objective of his life was to raise and educate his children. Mr. Schwartz is survived by his wife of 74 years, Gertrude; daughter Sydelle; son Carl, five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hy- man and Lena Schwartz, four sisters and two brothers. MARY SCHWARTZBERG, 76, of Tamarac, Fla., formerly of Detroit, died April 4, 2006. She is survived by her son, Alan Schwartzberg of Milford; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jim Hill of Milford, Renee and Scott Cooper of Livonia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nathan and Irene Rosen of Commerce Township, Leo and Iris Rosen of Farmington Hills, Michael Rosen; grandchildren, Sean Hill, Kyle Hill.
