DR. E. BRYCE ALPERN, 88, of
Bloomfield Hills, died April 6, 2006.
A pediatrician at Children's Hospital
for 40 years, Dr. Alpern also taught at
Wayne State Medical School and had
his own private practice. He was a
veteran of the Army in World War II,
having served in the Pacific Theatre.
Dr. Alpern is survived by his wife,
Harriet Alpern of Bloomfield Hills;
son and daughter-in-law, Dwight
and Ingrid Alpern of Rockville, Md.;
daughter and son-in-law, Abbey
and David Bern of Potomac, Md.;
grandchildren; Jason Alpern, Heather
Alpern, Adam Bern; brother and sis-
ter-in-law, Robert and Marge Alpern
of Bloomfield Hills; sisters-in-law,
Winifred Broder and Barbara Cooper.
He was the beloved father of the late
James Alpern.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
