he JCC Maccabi Games may
be coming back to Detroit.
JCC staff have been exploring
the feasibility of being a regional host
in 2008, after being given the go-ahead
by the board of the Jewish Community
Center of Metropolitan Detroit.

14 events each summer at the Maccabi
Games, which are held at multiple
sites. This year's hosts are Phoenix,
Stamford, Conn., and Vancouver.
Detroit has hosted the Games
three times since they began in 1982.
Athletes competed here in 1984, 1990
and 1998.

Oh Brotherhood
Brotherhood bowled 'ern over at the
65th annual International B'nai.B'rith
Bowling Association Tournament.
The "It's All Luck" squad from the
Brotherhood League of tournament
host Metropolitan Detroit B'nai B'rith
Bowling Association finished second
in the team competition.
Also, Barry Fishman and Leo
Weberman from the league captured
the Class A and Class B singles titles.
More than 300 bowlers threw six
games each during two tournament
weekends. Local bowlers competed
March 11-12 and out-of-towners
