BEN KAUFMAN, 87, of San Diego,
Calif., died March 30, 2006.
He is survived by his companion,
Freda Heller; daughter and son-in-law,
Donna and Dr. Michael Chaben of
West Bloomfield; sons and daughter-
in-law, Stuart and Jennifer Kaufman of
China, Dr. Larry Kaufman of Honolulu,
Hawaii; grandchildren, Shelley (Seth)
Rosensweig and Jamie (Grant)
Horwitz; great-granddaughter, Emma;
many loving family members and
friends. He was the beloved husband
of the late Dubby Kaufman; brother of
the late Harry Kaufman and the late
Herbert W. Kaufman.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

in Poway, Calif. Arrangements by

HAROLD KOHN, 76, of Davie, Fla.,
formerly of Michigan, died March 30,
2006. A salesperson for an industrial
laundry company, Mr. Kohn was a past
officer of B'nai B'rith.
He is survived by his wife, Etty Kohn
of Dayie; daughters and sons-in-law,
Debbie and Dr. Mark Bernstein of
Farmington Hills, Marcia Kohn-Bunin
and James Bunin of Golden Valley,
Minn.; stepchildren, Sharon Morley
of Chippewa Falls, Wis., Lou and Pat
Spivack of Tucson, Ariz., Alan and
Alina Spivack of Davie, Mark and Kelly
Spivack of Tucson; grandchildren,
Brian, Eric and Marissa Bernstein,
William Bunin, Rebecca, Rachele
and Nathan Morley, Aaron, Joshua,
Anya, Jacob and Nicky. Spivack; sister
and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Max
Rosenberger of Pembrooke, Fla, sis-
ter-in-law, Bonnie Kohn. He was the
beloved husband of the late Roselyn;
dear brother of the late Fred Kohn.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial

Farmington Hills, died April 2, 2006.
She is survived by her husband of

FLORENCE K. ROSE, 87, of
Farmington Hills, died March 19, 2006.
A physical education teacher with the
Detroit public schools, Mrs. Rose was
also a volunteer and active supporter of
the Oak Park Library and Brandeis.
She is survived by her children, Dr.
Robert and Cyndy Rose of Beverly
Hills, Calif., Linda Rose and Bruce
Collister of San Rafael, Calif., Alan and
Ellie Woontner of Fairfax, Calif., Joel
Woontner of Lansing; grandchildren,
Jennifer and Mark Donoghue, Daniel
Rose, Courtney Walker, Tristen and
Skip Sullivan; great-grandchildren,

the beloved wife of the late Dan C.

SANDER BURTON "SANDY"
SCHIFF, of West Bloomfield, died
March 30, 2006. He was a builder that
specialized in residential remodeling.
He was also a president the village of
Beverly Hills, a vice chairman of the
Oakland County Planning Committee,
a past president of the Zoning Board of
Appeals of Oak Park and a member of
the board for Temple Shir Shalom
Mr. Schiff is survived by his wife
for 52 years, Harriet Schiff of West
Bloomfield; children, Dale and Sharon
Schiff of Akron, Ohio, Rabbi Chava
"Stacie" and Karl Bahle of Suttons
Bay; grandchildren, Robyn Schiff and
Samantha Schiff; sister and brother-
in-law, Eileen and Gordon Abel of Oak
