achel Krasner with Jake and Jared Arbit, all of West Bloomfield, are
excited to announce the engagement of their parents, Ms. Francine
Sharon Krasner and Dr. Philip Jerome Arbit.
Francine is the daughter of Carol and Jeffry Price of Kankakee, Ill. Philip is
the son of Dr. S. Meyer and Charlotte Arbit of West Bloomfield.
Francine received her bachelor of science from the University of Illinois,
Urbana-Champaign, and her master of business administration in finance and
marketing from Loyola University, Chicago. After a career in marketing at Sara
Lee Corporation and Visteon, she is a member of the board of trustees at Temple
Israel, where she is also a substitute teacher at the religious school. In addi-
tion, she is a liaison with Federation and on the board of directors at the Jewish
Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit.
Philip earned his bachelor of science from Michigan State University and
completed medical school at Wayne State University. After finishing a residency
in anesthesiology at Sinai Hospital and the Detroit Medical Center, he is a senior
partner in the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at Botsford
General Hospital in Farmington Hills.
A summer 2007 Wedding is planned.

ose Stone of Lathrup Village celebrated her 96th birthday Feb. 19 at
a brunch given by her children, Lawrence Stone of Lathrup Village,
Morton and Sara Stone of Land O'Lakes, Fla., Carol and Michael
Udman of Oak Park, Sharon and Sheldon Dworkin of Huntington Woods. Also
in attendance were grandchildren, Elena and Matthew Gross, Erica Udman,
Debbie Dworkin, Jason Dworkin, and three of her 18 great-grandchildren,
Aaron, Henri and Amelia Gross. Sending a mazel tov and best wishes for contin-
ued health were grandchildre.n Rabbi Yerachmiel and Becky Udman and their
children, Akiva, Yaakov, Dovid, Yehuda, Shayna, Estee, Shlomo, Laya, Leeba and
Fraidie, all of Dallas, Texas, as well as granddaughter Sarah Stone and great-
granddaughter Sofia of Minneapolis, Minn.
