Former Detroiter Peter Soronen designed this beribboned silk gown.

Women's American ORT Michigan Region.
"We have better job-opportunity programs
where we're helping anyone in need get the job
skills required to re-enter the marketplace."
The highlight of the event was a chic fash-
ion show of more than 50 different looks, all
provided by upscale Birmingham boutique
Tender, and styled by Cheryl Daskas, who co-
owns the shop with sister Karen. The show was
choreographed by Birmingham's In Styling
Productions. Designs by Zac Posen, Lanvin,
Thakoon, Jimmy Choo and more featured elec-
tric colors like bright orange and green, flirty
mini skirts and luxurious lace dresses. Acces-
sories focused on large bags, white-rimmed
sunglasses and glamorous oversized hats.
"The styles this year are very feminine,
everything's very flowy and romantic," said
Robyn Kay of West Bloomfield. "Some of the

tops were just fabulous," agreed Berhann Kalt
of Franklin. Rachel Zimmerman of Huntington
Woods had her eyes on the floor. "I loved all
the shoes."
Sharon Eisenshtadt, a personal shopper, also
liked what she saw. "What's in for spring?
Blousy fabrics, luxe fabrics — it's going to be a
very beautiful season."
