JNPLATINUM

The 4.4 liter, V-8, 305-horsepow-
er engine, with 325 lb.-ft of torque
at 4,000 rpm, isn't too shabby
either.
The suspension can be changed,
according to the terrain and your
speed, with the touch of a button.
And once you get up to highway
speed, the HSE automatically low-
ers the vehicle .79 inches (from
74.90 to 74.11 inches) for better
aerodynamic efficiency.
The HSE has a base price of
$74,285. The one I took out cost
$86,850. The interior is roomy and
quiet, unless you want to crank up
the music with a six-disc, in-dash CD changer that also plays NIPS CDs on a
14-speaker, 710-watt Harman/Kardon sound system.
A touch-screen dashboard includes a navigation system, a phone system and
a very cool rear-view camera that automatically appears when you shift into
reverse — because you never know what (or who) is back there unless you get
a good look.

Thanks to Land Rover of Farmington Hills for allowing
Cool Runnings to take the Range Rover HSE for a spin.
