Andy Sonenberg will read from the
Torah on the occa-
sion of his bar
mitzvah Saturday,
March 4, at
Temple Israel. He
is the son of Julie
and Dan
Sonenberg and
the brother of
Sonenberg
Scott. His excited
grandparents are Charlotte and Meyer
Arbit. He is also the grandchild of the
late Shirley and Jack Sonenberg.
Andy attends Walnut Creek Middle
School in Walled Lake. He felt his most
meaningful mitzvah project is his
involvement in Friendship School,
which involves Sports Night every
Wednesday and Winter Camp.

Paige Elizabeth Spagna will read from
the Torah at Temple Israel Friday,
March 3, as she becomes a bat mitzvah.
She is the daughter
of Pamela and
Richard Nodel and
Randy and Dr.
Renee
Applebaum-
Spagna and the
sister of
Samantha,
Cameron, Jordan
and Casey. Her
grandparents are Lois and Milford
Singer and Marion and Nick Spagna.
Attending West Hills Middle School
in Bloomfield Hills, Paige felt it was
especially meaningful to volunteer at
Yad Ezra in Berkley as part of her mitz-
vah experience.
