"Watermarks"

This is the astonishing story of the champion women swimmers of
the legendary Jewish sports club, Hakoah in Vienna, founded in
response to the Aryan Paragraph forbidding Austrian sports clubs
from accepting Jews. The club's best-known triumphs came from its
women swimmers, who dominated competitions in Austria until the
Nazis shut them down. They all managed to flee the country thanks
to clever escape operations. Sixty-five years later, director Yaron
Zilberman meets the members and arranges a surprising reunion in
Vienna.

After the movie, meet the director, Yaron Zilberman.

'Watermarks' is a joint program between SAJE and the Lenore
Marwil Jewish Film Festival. Co-sponsored by Park West Gallery, The
Mom's and Beverly Baker Foundation, Sophie Pearistein and Maida
Frank Portnoy.
