READER MINI CRITIQUE
... "I ate the best Thai cooking
in the world during my trip to
Thailand, but I have never had
better Thai outside of Thailand
than the great food served by
super Thai chef Sonne. at Nak
Thai on John R., north of 11
Mile in Madison Heights. This
tiny restaurant kicks out some
big time flavors in dishes like
Pad Bai Grapow Chicken
cooked with traditional Thai
holy basis and green peppers,
or the Angry Eggplant which
features chopped and ground
chicken with onions and pep-
pers with a spicy garlic sauce.
Dishes like Me Khong Catfish
sauteed in shrimp, mussels,
squid and lemon grass are
amazing. It's Yum Talay, a Thai
seafood salad, contains squid,
scallops, crab, cucumbers and
onions. The prices are remark-
ably low, the service very per-
sonal and it is open seven days
a week for lunch and dinner.
For authentic Thai food, people
can look no further than Nak
Thai." ... Mort Meisner.
