Lansing, formerly of Farmington, died
Jan. 4, 2006. After retiring from Sears,
Roebuck and Company in 1972, he
entered the after-market automobile
supply industry, from which he retired
as a self-employed vinyl top manufac-
turer. Mr. Schwartz was a member of
East Lansing's Congregation Shaarey
Zedek.
He is survived by his wife of 65
years, Sylvia; four children, Thea
(Elliot) Glicksman of Lansing, Beth
Slavin of Newport Beach, Calif., Minda
(Mitch) Kahn of Grand Rapids,
Martin (Karen) Schwartz of Fresno,
Calif.; grandchildren, Lesley (Ernesto)
Salazar, Stephanie (Keith) Woodard;
Joshua Kahn and Aaron Kahn; great-
grandchildren, Samantha Slavin,
Hannah Woodard, Jacob Salazar.
A memorial service was held at
Congregation Shaarey Zedek in East
Lansing. Contributions may be made

FEODOSIA SHEINKER, 95, of
Southfield, died Feb. 7, 2006.
She is survived by her son, Eugene
Sheinker of St. Petersburg, Russia;
daughter and son-in-law, Lydia and
Boris Kuniaysky of Ann Arbor; grand-
children, Michael Kuniaysky, Elena
Sheinker. She was the beloved wife of
the late Yakov Sheinker.
Interment at Westwood Cemetery.
Arrangements by Hebrew Memorial
Chapel.

JEAN SHEKTMAN, 82, of Westland,

died Feb. 8, 2006.
She is survived by her sisters, Rose
Kampner of San Mateo, Calif., Ida
Chaenko of Southfield; nieces and
nephews.
Services and interment at Hebrew
Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements by Hebrew Memorial
Chapel.

BERNARD SNEIDER, 89, of West

Bloomfield, died Feb. 6, 2006. He was a
pharmacist and owner of Cody Drugs
and Bernie's Drugs, both in Detroit.
He was also an amateur photographer
who was honored with many awards,
a member of the Detroit Photo Guild,
member of the Perfection Lodge and a
member of Rho Phi Fi pharmacy fra-
ternity.
Mr. Sneider is survived by his wife,

Libbie Sneider; son and daughter-in-
law, Dr. Raymond and Barbara Sneider
of Bloomfield Hills; daughter and son-
in-law, Tobyann and Dr. Larry Pollak
of West Bloomfield; son-in-law, Emery
Weiss; grandchildren, Eric and Mary
Kay Weiss, Dr. Elyse and Dr. Steven
Kernis, Dr. Michael and Elizabeth
Sneider, Dr. Andrea Sneider and
fiance, Dr. Ryan Hakimi, Jason Pollak,
Brandon. Pollak; great-grandchildren,
Isabel, Jacob and Madeleine Sneider,
Ryne and Cooper Weiss, Jacob and
Tyler Kernis. He was the loving father
of the late Elaine C. Weiss.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery

Bloomfield, died Feb. 13, 2006 A CPA
and financial planner, Mr. Tobes was
in private practice. He was an active
member and founder of Life Raft
Group, a support group for
Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors. He
was also active on the board of
Development Centers Inc: for over 30
years, a past president of Rey-Ut Unit
of B'nai B'rith, a member of the state
board for American Heart Association
and a member of the board of Deaf
and Hearing Impaired Organization.
In addition, he was active on the
board of Behavorial Health
Professionals Inc. and Community
Treatment Centers Inc.
Mr. Tobes is survived by his wife,
Kendra Tobes of West Bloomfield;
