WALDON, 85, of Seal Beach, Calif., formerly of West Bloomfield, died Jan. 23, 2006. He was a dentist with offices in Detroit and Southfield. He was commercial and residential building contractor throughout the metropolitan area who was instrumental in building many synagogues. Mr. Weingarden was also active with Congregation Shaarey Zedek and was in charge of morning minyan services along with caring for the religious books and shopping. He was a past president of Yeshivat Akiva and, for many years, was active with Meals on Weingarden Wheels. Mr. Weingarden was treasurer of home association, a Mason and Shriner and a member of the Jewish War Veterans. During World War II, while in the Air Force, he taught pilots to fly. Mr. Weingarden is survived by his wife, Libby Weingarden; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Allan Pearlman of Huntington Woods, Lauren Weingarden, Dayle and Jay Prinstein, Janice and Mark Kettler; son and daughter-in-law, Sheldon and Judy Klein; grandchildren, Jodie and Peter Berkman, Emily and Raphael Green, Joshua and Beth Pearlman, Justin and Rachel Prinstein, Adam and Brian Kettle, Daniel, Devorah, Adina and Gavi Klein; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Caroline and Bradley Berkman, Daisy Green, Jack and Carly Pearlman; sisters, Sylvia Barak, Beverly Weingarden; sisters-in-law and broth- ers-in-law, Monnie Weingarden, Arthur and Frumie Bruckner, Rosalyn Finkelstein, Rayfield Gluckman, Herbert and Sue Jaffe.
