Federation's 2006 Annual Campaign held a Winter Blast Phonathon on
Sunday at the Max M. Fisher Federation Building in Bloomfield Township.
Thirty volunteers, including from the Women's Department and the Young
Adult Division, called prospective donors. Israel was on the minds of a lot of
donors, said Susie Citrin of Birmingham, chair of New Gifts. "The sentiment I
was hearing throughout the morning was,`Israel really needs our support:"
she said. "It's time to be stand up and be counted." Baylee Shulman of
Franklin chaired the fund-raising effort and made. calls along with her hus-
band, Joe."We're all here, doing our part," said Michele Siegal of Beverly Hills,
board chair of BBYO.

Brightening Kadima

On behalf of Kadima, executive director Janette Shallal accepted a water-
color collage painting, Our Ancestors, from Michigan artist Linda Zalla.
The painting is now in the Kadima client activities center. Southfield-
based Kadima's mission is to help men and women with mental illness
live lives with dignity and pride within a caring community.
