NCJW Blankets

A community service program was
born when Marilyn Levine, a board
member of the National Council of
Jewish Women Greater Detroit
Section (NCJW/GDS), learned that
this year Protective Services
removed nearly 600 Oakland
County children from their homes
because of abuse or neglect.
Wrapped In Love by NCJW/GDS
is a fleece blanket made for these
children by volunteers.
A drop-in program for volunteers
is held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Mondays.
Blankets are cut and tied.
Student community service hours
are available on the third Sunday of
each month from 1-.30-3:30 p.m. To
defray fabric expenses or to inquire
about the project, call (248) 355-
3300, ext. 0.
