MICHAEL I. SCHUMAN, 82, of West Bloomfield, died Dec. 22, 2005. For 36 years, he was a Ford Motor Company cost estimating supervisor. He was also a graduate of Grosse Pointe High School, a University of Michigan grad- uate with a master's of business administration, was a lieutenant jun- ior grade in the Navy during World War II and was stationed at Pearl Harbor in 1944. In addition, he volun- teered with the Jewish Vocational Service, was a docent at the Holocaust Memorial Center and assisted new immigrants in filling out job applica- tions.
