She wrote in nearly every form available — serious essays, poems, business letters and Yiddish limericks. Her limericks were published for several years in the Jewish News. She created many of her poems as a young mother while nursing her infant children. She even could write poems "on demand" when her children became interested in specific subjects. An avid reader with a special -interest in Jewish topics and history, Mrs. Fleischmann even wrote her rabbi to argue a point on a Jewish issue. She was asked by relatives to write business letters for them. She was such a persuasive writer she successfully argued an issue with a car dealership on behalf of an uncle. Her letters were better than any written by lawyers, said her mother, Leah Snider of West Bloomfield. Mrs. Fleischmann,- 49, of Bloomfield Hills, died Dec. 20, 2005, of cancer. Mrs. Fleischmann's hus- band, Yosef, said his wife and mother-in-law would recite American and British poems -- from heart -- for hours during family auto- mobile trips. Mrs. Fleischmann particularly loved poetry, which later expanded into her writing Yiddish limericks. Initially, she wrote them merely for the fun of it and recited them to relatives and friends. Soon, she was encouraged to submit them for publication. About six years ago, the Jewish News began pub- lishing them. Arrangements were private.
