"By speaking about drunk driv-
ing and what people can go
through because of the careless-
ness and ignorance of others. The
best memorial for my mother will
be to tell what can happen to a
victim physically, mentally and
financially I keep thinking about .
the Weinstein family (Judith and
sons Alex, 12, and Sam, 9) who
were killed by a drunk driver in
Farmington Hills and what it can
do to a family My mother \vas
really big on charity, but never
had any money. So, the biggest
mitzvah of the whole thing will
be donating a percentage of book
sales — in my parents' names —
to charitable organizations I
speak for?'

You received your grad-
uate degree when you
were 46, and you stress
the importance of "giv-
ing people a positive
attitude to do things
later in life." So, what's
next?

"The sequel. I'll be taking another
class with Fran Knorr, starting in
January; and I'll develop the story
of the drunk driver, whose char-
acter in the first book had just
started to take on a life of his
own."
