The soldiers who made it back were so fond of the go-anywhere, do- anything vehicle that in 1949 the Jeep corn- pany offered a Willys station wagon to the American public. Throughout the years, even through the years when nearly every car or truck looked the same, the Jeep was always distinctive. The Commander is Jeep's newest model and it features a third row to handle different kinds of soldiers — the whiny, demanding ones.
