SHACKET, 88, of West Bloomfield, died Nov. 24, 2005. A developer, Mr. Shacket started as a mechanic in a garage He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps and enjoyed a membership in the A.O.P.A (Aircraft Owner and Pilot Association), the Chai Flyers and the Jewish War Veterans. Mr. Shacket owned a heating and cooling company, Crown Heating, after the war and also invented a gas conver- sion unit for coal furnaces. He then began designing manufac- tured home parks and designed the first manufactured home community in Troy in 1960. He also developed Highland Greens in Highland. He was a 32nd degree Mason and belonged to the Shriners. In addition, he was a member of the Michigan Builders Association and the Manufactured Home Association. Mr. Shacket is survived by his wife, Sylvia Shacket of West Bloomfield; sons and daugh- ters-in-law, Rodney and Susie Shacket of Birmingham, Roger and Esther Shacket of Coral jw December 1 2005 Springs, Fla.; daughters and sons-in-law, Doree and Steven Roth of West Bloomfield, Shelley and Steven Roth of West Bloomfield; grandchil- dren, Devin Shacket, Frances Shacket, Kevin Shacket, Nicole Shacket, Michael Shawn, Carlyn Roth. He was the beloved brother of the late Ben Shacket, the late Al Shacket and the late Dave Shacket. Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial Cemetery. He was a World War II veteran and equal rights activist. Mr. Tannenhaus is survived by his wife, Evelyn Tannenhaus, daughters and son-in-law, Susan McDonald, Lydia and John Stanton: son and daugh- ter-in-law, Marc and Nuria Tannenhaus; grandchildren, Paul McDonald, Dustin, Amaya, and Talia Tannenhaus.
