The 19th annual interfaith
Thanksgiving sponsored by
cultural faith organizations in
Metro Detroit will be held
Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 7:30
p.m. at Temple Kol Ami, 5085
Walnut Lake Road, West
Bloomfield.
Rabbi Norman Roman will
be the host for "A Service of
Interfaith Blessing:' which not
only marks the celebration of
America's Thanksgiving
remembrance, but also is a
witness to our common spiri-
tuality. A reception will follow.
The Rev. William Gepford of
Littlefield Presbyterian Church
in Dearborn is founder of the
event. The blessings will be
opened with the drums and
sage of the Native American
community and liturgical con-
tributions will come from the
Muslim, Hindu, Sikh,
Christian, Bahai and Jewish
traditions will be offered.
A free-will offering will be
received on behalf of UNICEF
for the health and care of chil-
dren.

annual Main Event will feature
Professor Alan Dershowitz,
defense attorney, author, Israel
advocate and professor at the
Harvard University Law School
in Cambridge, Mass.
The event will take place
Thursday, Dec. 1, at the
Ypsilanti Marriott at Eagle
Crest at 7 p.m. and is made
possible through the Ford
Motor Company Fund.
The Main Event is chaired
by Gary and Eileen Freed and
Ed and Mona Goldman.
