RENT'S ANCESTRY: The musical Rent was based on the opera La
Boheme, the next production of the Michigan Opera Theatre. A tale of
young love expressed with music by Puccini, it is set in 1830s Paris.
The classic, staged at the Detroit Opera House, will be performed at
8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5; Friday, Nov. 11; and Saturday, Nov. 12. It also
