Now that I've gone to a few
events, I'm starting to see the
same kids, to build relationships
with them, which is very reward-
ing. Some of them are really good
athletes, too; the basketball play-
ers were good enough to beat any
high school team. And it's helped
me develop more patience and
tolerance:'

What future plans do you have
regarding Special Olympics?

"I plan to keep on volunteering
in as many programs as possible.
I want to get my daughters
involved also, especially in the
swimming events. After spending
every summer at camp, they're
both very comfortable in the
water, and it's something we
could enjoy doing together."
