The Cultural Commission of
Congregation Beth Shalom will
sponsor a theater party to Detroit's
Fisher Theater to see Golda's
Balcony, a one-woman show about
Golda Meir starring Valerie Harper
Sunday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m.
A limited number of balcony
seats are available through Beth
Shalom at $34.25 — a discount
from the regular $42 price. Tickets
must be prepaid. All reservations,

Brunch Tribute

Harold and Barbara Beznos were
honored at the tribute Brunch at
Franklin Hill Country Club
Sunday, Sept. 25, in anticipation at
the upcoming 72nd Balfour
Celebration Concert of the Zionist
Organization of America Sunday
evening, Nov. 6, at the Millennium
Theater in Southfield. The brunch
was sponsored by the ZOA.

media will be the topic of a 7:45
a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, breakfast
workshop featuring Allan Gale,
associate director of the Jewish
Community Council, at the Max
M. Fisher Federation Building in
Bloomfield Township.
During the hourlong program,
Gale will discuss his experience on
how to communicate Israel's posi-
tion to the media, how to connect
with an audience, present a cogent
argument and provide persuasive
sound-bites.
The workshop is part of
Advocates for Israel ...A Metro
Detroit Media Response Team, co-
sponsored by Council, the
American Jewish Committee and
the Anti-Defamation League.
