Alexander Barron Loewenstein
of West Bloomfield will celebrate
his bar mitzvah as he reads from
the Torah Saturday, Oct. 15, at
Temple Beth ELHe is the son of
Dana and

Loewenstein
and brother
of Jeremy.
His proud
grandpar-
ents are
Judith
Loewenstein
Michnoff
and Phyllis Loewenstein. He is
also the grandson of the late
Donald Michnoff, the late Jerry
Vikser and the late Marshall
Loewenstein. He is the great-
grandson of Stanley Lewis.
Alex is a student at Cranbrook
Kingswoo.d Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills. Among his
mitzvah projects, he organized a
baseball equipment drive and
collected hundreds of bats, base-
balls and helmets to benefit to
Think Detroit, a non-profit
agency that organizes youth
sports leagues in Detroit.

Sarah Ruth McPherson, daugh-
ter of Sheila and Dr. Barry Jay
and Neal and Mary McPherson,
will celebrate her bat mitzvah at
Temple Israel Saturday, Oct. 15.
She is the sister of Emily, Allison,
Asa, Tyler and Ryan. Her grand-
parents are Esther and Harold
Radin and Dora Jay. She is also
the grandchild of the late Ruth
and Edgar McPherson. Her proud
great-grandmothers are Lillian
Greenblatt
and Helen
Radin-
Mayer.

Smart
Middle
McPherson
School in
Walled Lake. She felt working
with fourth-graders at Temple
Israel's Sunday school was her
most meaningful mitzvah proj-
ect.

Nicole Erin Meisner (Nava) will
celebrate her bat mitzvah as she
reads from the Torah at Temple
Shir Shalom Saturday, Oct. 15.
She is the daughter of Mort and
Leslie Meisner and the sister of
Mark, Jason, Louie and Petey.
Sharing in the celebration will be
her grandmother Marty Mangas
and godparents Jim and Debbie

was called to the Torah as a bar
mitzvah Saturday, Oct. 8, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
Participating in the service were
his proud parents, Dr. Alan and
Lori (Markowitz) Migdalewicz
and brother Travis. Proud grand-
parents are Marcia Glick of West
Bloomfield
and Harvey
